"In emergencies States don't always abide by their legal obligations to guarantee right to education and humanitarian action rarely includes addressing educational needs,” said President of the Global Campaign for Education (GCE) Refat Sabbah, “there is an urgent need for action at both national and global levels to unlock resources, and ensure they are directed towards the countries and populations in need. Immediate solutions include debt relief and increased official development assistance." "Education funding needs tax justice, solutions include the stopping of the illicit flow of funds, increased corporate social responsibility especially for multinationals, and less spending on defense.
