| UNESCO Education is organizing a virtual high level side event to focus on the progress made by
  the Global Education Coalition in the past 6 months.  The event will share with countries measures and best
  practices in responding to immediate challenges of school closures and
  re-openings, including concrete examples on how the Global Education
  Coalition members are engaging in supporting country needs.  The event will take place on 25 September from 10 – 11.30

| BROADBAND COMMISSION
  REPORT ON SCHOOL CONNECTIVITY | |||
| A new report published by the
  Broadband Commission looks into school connectivity and introduces a
  methodology and framework for mapping and connecting primary and secondary
  schools to the Internet. The report is the result of a working group
  co-chaired by the ITU, UNESCO and UNICEF and aims to help governments, their
  partners and interested stakeholders to develop more holistic school
  connectivity plans. | |||
| GOOD SOUTH-SOUTH
  COLLABORATION PRACTICES | |||
| The recently launched Good Practices in South-South and
  Triangular Cooperation for Sustainable Development Vol. 3. features close to 200 good
  practices. The report is the biggest compilation to date and
  significantly expands the South-South knowledge base across all SDGs,
  highlighting innovative solutions, and showcasing a greater diversity of
  partners.   | |||
| ASSOCIATION FOR THE
  EDUCATION OF DISABLED CHILDREN (AAEEH) | |||
| Started in March 2020, AAEEH cycle of conferences continues by
  videoconference due to the health crisis. The next conference will take place on Wednesday 07 October
  2020 from 17:00 (Paris time). As a prelude to the celebration of
  International Girls' Day on 11 October, the conference will focus on : the
  role of NGOs in the education and empowerment of girls and women in the
  perspective of achieving the SDGs; the issues and challenges of education for
  girls with disabilities and lessons learned from the project "support to
  the schooling of girls with disabilities"; the first lessons learned
  from the impact of Covid19 The conference, in French, will be moderated by Dr
  Ernestine NGO MELHA, specialized in educational policies and disability

  Video on new
  EQUALS hub Worldwide, 2 billion women are
  offline. They are 4 times less likely than men to know how to use advanced
  digital technologies. In today’s society, women and men, girls and boys must
  have equal access to tech skills development and career opportunities. To
  face this challenge, the EQUALS Global Partnership for Gender Equality in the
  Digital Age has just launched the EQUALS Digital Skills Hub, a one-stop shop on projects,
  resources and good practices to advance digital skills for girls and women.
  The Hub was created by UNESCO, with the support of the
  Government of Germany, as a contribution to the EQUALS Global Partnership. ·       
  New video on learners’ safety and socio-emotional
  well-being for a safe return to school in the Caribbean UNESCO's Cluster Office for the
  Caribbean has launched a campaign on safe return to school in the Caribbean
  with the title "Joanne and Daniel Lead the Way - Stop Coronavirus at
  School Today!". This initiative is a part of the UNESCO’s Education Response to
  COVID-19 in the Caribbean SIDS to support the
  reopening of schools. The video animation are aligned with key messages from
  the Framework
