French version of the newsletter here.   Selection of the highlights of the past weeks    March UNESCO statement following the adoption of the UN General Assembly resolution "Aggression against Ukraine". UNESCO alerts on the necessity to protect heritage and has conducted several coordination meetings with site managers and museum directors for the assessment of damages to heritage and develops emergency support actions within the framework of its mandates (education, culture, safety of journalists, solidarity networks). UNESCO is organizing a special session of the Executive Board for this purpose on 15 March.   8 March On the occasion of International Women's Day 2022, UNESCO launched the joint UNESCO-IDB-OECD report "The effects of artificial intelligence on women's working lives". Find all the information on the dedicated website.    10 March UNESCO launched the 2021/2022 edition of the World Trends in Freedom of Expression and Media Development report, the findings of which are based in part on original research conducted by Economist Impact. Entitled "Groundwater: Making the Invisible Visible", the report describes the challenges and opportunities related to the development, management and governance of this important freshwater resource worldwide.
