For Our
Common Future
“Caring for our Common Future – Advancing Shared Well-being” is the theme of the Religions for Peace 10th World Assembly that will take place between 20 and 23 August 2019 in Lindau.
Some 900 senior religious leaders, youth and women of faith from over 100 countries will be joined by 100 representatives of governments, intergovernmental organizations, and civil society groups. They come together to create mutual trust and decide on concrete future projects, as well as forging multi-stakeholder partnerships for the common good.
Among others, German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Jeffrey D. Sachs and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Beatrice Fihn of ICAN are expected to attend.
Representatives of all major religions from some 100 countries come
together and collaborate to protect our earth as part of a holistic vision of
peace.
Dialogue, understanding and trust are the foundation for countering the
instrumentalization of religions in order to justify violence.
We promote and
support the peaceful coexistence between humans and nature – for our common
future.
