EDUCATION THIS WEEK (28 September – 9 October 2020)

FUTURES OF EDUCATION INFORMATION SESSION THIS WEEK

For those who wish to participate in the UNESCO Futures of Education information meeting.

We strongly recommend you read the attached guidelines prior to the meeting to take full advantage of the information that will be discussed.

This information meeting is about how NGOs can get involved in UNESCO’s “Futures of Education” initiative. The session will highlight how the NGO community can actively be engaged in supporting a global debate to rethink education and shape the future. To this end you will invited to organise focus group discussions with other NGOs and different community groups combined with a number of other tools available. The outcome of the deliberations will feed into the work of the Futures of Education International Commission, chaired by the President of Ethiopia, Her Excellency President Sahle-Work Zewde, and a global UNESCO report to be published in 2021.

The timeline is set out as follows:

  • October 2020: Information sessions (in English, French and Spanish)
  • October-November: organise focus group discussions and report back by end of November

We strongly hope that you will join us for this important initiative!
