(3 – 7 May 2021)

NEW TOOL TO MONITOR COVID-19 TESTING AND VACCINATIONS IN SCHOOLS

UNESCO has released a
new health and vaccination management tool, OpenEMIS Vaccinations, to help countries track teacher and other school staff vaccination progress. This was done through a partnership with Community Systems Foundation (CSF), a Global Education Coalition member.

This tool aims to increase teaching workforce and public confidence in a safe and protected return to in-person or hybrid learning as part of UNESCO’s efforts to support countries to mitigate the impact of school closures, address learning losses and adapt education systems, particularly for vulnerable and disadvantaged communities.
