HIGHER EDUCATION CONVERSATION SERIES


A series of monthly Higher Education Conversations have been in place since November 2021 on technical aspects of the Global Convention and broader higher education issues in the leadup to the Third World Higher Education Conference in May 2022.

The fourth conversation will be held on 10 February from 14:00 – 15:00 over Zoom, with a focus on equity and vulnerable groups. You can find the agenda and registration details

More about the Conference in May

·       The conference is organized as a global conversation on higher education. It aims to contribute to the guarantee of the right to education without discrimination and to the 2030 Agenda and its main purpose of leaving no one behind.

 

·       WHEC2022 is arranged around 10 thematic areas and a number of sub-themes, and aims to bring together diverse voices from academia, education systems, decision-makers, civil society, youth organisations, among others. 

 

·       All actors in the higher education ecosystem are invited to contribute their voice, reflections, knowledge, learnings, etc., to the conference through, knowledge reports on topics of interest, video messages, consultation reports (organized by interested members), and others. 

·       As part of WHEC2022 activities, a youth involvement strategy is in place. A dedicated platform is on line: WHEC2022 Youth Platform. All organizations are invited to participate in the activities.  The Conference will be held in a hybrid format.

LIFELONG LEARNING VIRTUAL EXHIBITION: CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS


On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL) in 2022, our UIL colleagues are launching a virtual exhibition about lifelong learning today and in the future. Testimonials about the importance of learning throughout life will be included in this exhibition.

Don’t hesitate to participate or encourage your netwok to share the importance of lifelong learning in different aspects of life.
