EDUCATION THIS WEEK (7 – 11 February 2022)

WORLD HIGHER EDUCATION CONFERENCE 2022 UPDATES

UNESCO World Higher Education Conference 2022 (WHEC2022, 18-20 May 2022).

On 9 February (15:30 – 17:00 CET), a digital presentation of the publication Knowledge-driven actions: Transforming higher education for global sustainability by UNESCO and the Expert Group on the Universities and the 2030 Agenda (EGU2030) will take place. EGU2030 was launched in October 2020 by UNESCO in collaboration with the University of Bergen to reflect the necessary knowledge and transformations required for higher education institutions to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs. The publication will be officially launched at the World Higher Education Conference (WHEC2022) in May 2022. Register for the presentation of the publication here

The new World Higher Education Conference Youth Platform presents a range of opportunities for youth participation, before, during and after the WHEC2022. Users will have the opportunity to attend online masterclasses, seminars, open discussions and forums, and participate in surveys, consultations, and calls for entrepreneurs, artists, and researchers, among others. At the same time, they will enjoy fresh, digital content uploaded regularly, such as higher education talks (HED Talks), podcasts, video messages by youth leaders, blog posts, etc. In addition, the Youth Platform contains all the information regarding the Conference, and users can subscribe to a newsletter to stay up to date. Don’t hesitate to encourage youth to register to the platform and join in the process towards the WHEC2022!
