Cher(e)s ami(e)s, cher(e)s collègues, La pandémie actuelle a bouleversé de nombreux projets et exigé partout une modification des habitudes de communication et de travail, y compris à l’UNESCO et pour les ONG partenaires, dans la conduite des travaux collectifs dont vous aviez chargé le Comité de Liaison lors de son élection. Durant les derniers mois, face à l’irréversible bouleversement des agendas, le Comité a donc recherché les méthodes et les moyens de continuer à assurer sa mission et tout particulièrement pour les forums dont l’organisation avait été prévue au cours de ce mandat. Nous sommes aujourd’hui impatients de vous retrouver, grâce au choix que nous avons faits d’utiliser les innovations qui ont pris place aujourd’hui dans notre environnement de travail, autour du thème de forum qui aurait dû se tenir au cours de cette année : la Citoyenneté Mondiale WEBINAIRE du 14 septembre 2020 De 14H à 15H30 (Heure de Paris) « La voix des ONG » « La citoyenneté mondiale pour stimuler l’inclusion et la diversité » Le projet de forum sur la Citoyenneté Mondiale avait été validé par la Conférence Internationale des ONG de décembre 2018. Des travaux ont été conduits pendant plusieurs mois par les ONG dans un groupe de travail présentiel à l’UNESCO. Pour que la participation ne soit pas limitée aux ONG représentées sur place, un questionnaire a été soumis à toutes les ONG partenaires au premier trimestre 2019. Les réponses riches et variées ont été dépouillées par le Comité d’organisation du forum. Le forum a dû être reporté en 2021 en raison de la crise COVID. Dans l’expectative, le Comité de liaison des ONG-UNESCO, en accord avec les membres ONG et secteurs UNESCO participant au Comité de pilotage du forum, a décidé la tenue de webinaires dédiés à la thématique de la Citoyenneté Mondiale, en poursuite d’une réflexion qui apparait particulièrement pertinente face aux événements actuels. Ces webinaires seront un point d’étape des travaux des ONG qui trouveront leur aboutissement dans le programme du forum. Le dépouillement des réponses aux questionnaire envoyé aux ONG a permis de préciser le thème des webinaires et le choix des panélistes. Les conclusions issues des travaux des ONG et leurs exemples de pratiques de terrain, seront apportées à l’UNESCO en contribution à la promotion de la Citoyenneté Mondiale et au renforcement des valeurs intrinsèques liées à ce concept. Dear Colleagues, dear friends, The current pandemic has upset many projects and everywhere required a change in communication and working habits, including at UNESCO and for Partners NGOs, in the conduct of the collective work that you had entrusted to the Liaison Committee at the time of its election. In recent months, faced with the irreversible upheaval of the agendas, the Committee has therefore sought ways and means to continue to carry out its mission, particularly for the forums scheduled to be organized during that mandate. Today we look forward to meeting you, thanks to the choice we made to use the innovations that have taken place today in our working environment, around the forum theme that should have been held this year: Global Citizenship Global Citizenship Webinar 14 September 2020 2PM– 3-30 PM (WET) The Voice of NGOs "Global citizenship to spur inclusion and diversity » The draft Global Citizenship forum had been validated by the international NGO Conference in December 2018. Work was conducted for several months by NGOs in a face-to-face working group at UNESCO. To ensure that participation is not limited to locally represented NGOs, a questionnaire was submitted to all Partner NGOs in the first quarter of 2019. The rich and varied responses were examined by the forum's Steering Committee. The physical forum had to be postponed to 2021 due to the COVID crisis. In anticipation, the NGO-UNESCO liaison Committee, in agreement with the NGO members and UNESCO sectors members of the Steering Committee of the forum, decided to hold webinars dedicated to the theme of Global Citizenship, in pursuit of a reflection that seems particularly relevant to current events. These webinars will be a milestone in the work of NGOs that will be reflected in the forum's agenda. The survey of responses to the questionnaire sent to NGOs made it possible to clarify the theme of the webinars and the choice of panelists among numerous interesting answers. The conclusions drawn from the work of NGOs and their examples of field practices will be brought to UNESCO as a contribution to the promotion of Global Citizenship and the strengthening of the intrinsic values associated with this concept.
