Being Catholic in a Multi-Faith Scotland

SCES provides information and advice   Catholic schools in Scotland and is aimed at teachers, parents and the general public. It provides teaching resources and details of all Catholic schools.
Day conferences for S3 pupils & staff to celebrate Inter-Faith week are being held on 12th & 13th November 2014 from 10am—2.30pm in the Conforti Institute, Calder Ave, Coatbridge.
These conferences, which are free of charge, are being organised by the Bishops’ Conference of Scotland Committee for Inter-Faith Dialogue, in partnership with the Scottish Catholic Education Service and the Conforti Institute.
Secondary schools are invited to arrange for S3 pupils to participate in one of these day conferences which will help them to plan and resource initiatives for their own school during Inter-Faith week. 4 pupils and a member of staff from each school will take part in a panel discussion, workshops and opportunities to plan activities for their own school communities. They will hear from people who are working to promote interfaith dialogue within the Catholic Church and be helped to think about how they can bring this message back to their own schools.
To book a place please contact: William Doran on 01698 252447 or e-mail with your preferred date (Places are limited to 12 schools per day).
