NO TERRORISM! - TERRORISMO NO! - NO TERRORISME!

Learning of the attacks in Brussels, which have affected many people, His Holiness Pope Francis entrusts to God's mercy those who died and he prays for those who have lost relatives. He expresses his deepest sympathy to the injured and their families, and all those who contribute to relief efforts, asking the Lord to bring them comfort and consolation in this ordeal. The Holy Father again condemns the blind violence which causes so much suffering and imploring from God the gift of peace, he entrusts on the bereaved families and the Belgians the benefit of divine blessings.

JOIE DE PAQUES, JOIE DE LA MISERICORDE - The joy of Easter, the joy of mercy

Easter Message – UMEC/ WUCT

The joy of Easter, the joy of mercy

Jesus’ death and resurrection shows the immeasurable mercy of the Father. He accepted that his Son underwent the trials of torture and death to reach the heart and open the road to life without end in God. The Easter celebrations offer us a chance to renew our hope and express the fertility of mercy.
I would wish for you to mark this Paschal tide by pilgrimage through the Holy Door and reaffirm the desire to live according to God’s mercy.
I pray that we strengthen our commitment to the Sacraments of Eucharist and Penance instituted by Christ and conveyed to his apostles, at the time of his Easter: on Holy Thursday, “this is my Body, this is my Blood; do so in memory of me”, and on Easter Sunday, “Receive the Holy Spirit; If you forgive anyone's sins, their sins are forgiven”.
Pilgrimages and especially the Sacraments in Christian life show us the direction and depth in our lives and turn us into pilgrims to Heaven.
                                                                                                                                           + Vincent DOLLMANN

PHILIPPINES: LE DJIADISME

Le djihadisme permanent

des Moros aux Philippines

djihadisme Moros Philippines

THE POPE FRANCIS: OUR STRENGTH AS A COMMUNITY

ADDRESS OF HIS HOLINESS POPE FRANCIS

TO PARTICIPANTS OF THE 2016 HARVARD WORLD MODEL UNITED NATIONS

Our strength as a community, on every level of life and social organization, lies not so much in our learning and personal ability, but in we show for one another, in the care that we exercise especially for those who cannot care for themselves.

The greatest benefit is your time together, your encounter with people from around the world, who represent not only our many contemporary challenges, but above all the rich diversity of talents and potential of the human family……

We Christians believe that Jesus calls us to be servants of our brothers and sisters, who care for others regardless of their background or circumstances. This is not only a mark of Christians, however, but is a universal call, rooted in our common humanity. It’s something we have as persons, that we have inside as human persons!....

Education is a global public good and partnerships are the name of the game to ensure that all people and countries reap its benefits, said UNESCO Director -General during a plenary panel with former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Martin Sorrell, CEO of the WPP advertising agency, in the context of the Global Education and Skills Forum in Dubai on March 13, 2016.
'Today we have one agenda for education that is rallying governments, civil society, business and academia, and it is a global agenda that is relevant to all countries - education is about opportunity, growth, reducing inequality, tackling climate change and changing mentalities,'  said Ms Bokova.

Since the adoption of the MDGs, education has gained traction as a political priority. 'Today, we see real political commitment to education. Sustainable Development 4 for the first time for 9 years of compulsory education for all countries and a 12 year cycle of education. This has huge significance - because education is a transformational goal linked to the achievement of all the others and that changes the lives of people.' ......
